"The colossal role of visual information in the modern world inspires Leonid Varushkin
to analyze its aesthetics and semantic frameworks as a means of organizing a new reality in visual art. Constantly experimenting with space and color, the author identifies points of intersection between the real and virtual worlds.

Using techniques such as repetition and multiplication of images ("Destruction"), sequencing the movement of a runner from start to finish, or blurring the figure
of a person languishing in the heat with a "paintly Photoshop" effect, the artist seeks
to immortalize the trace of fleeting movement as a step (or leap) into the future. Leonid Varushkin explores the very moment of transition from randomness to pattern across
a wide range of expressive means — from photorealism to street art.

A special place in his work is occupied by a distinctive minimalism of simple forms
and concise colors, where the author constructs, through combinations of different materials and techniques, his own reality as an alternative to the world around us
and its virtual double."
