"Denis Saunin sets and resolves in his art a complex figurative task: the creation
of certain freeze-frames capturing states of humanity, nature, and the universe. A strong foundation in realist training equips the artist to realize even the most ambitious concepts, where the representational and the non-objective do not contradict but rather complement and reinforce one another.

Turning to the discoveries of Suprematism has allowed Denis Saunin to so convincingly embody the levitation of bodies and objects in aerial space and to accentuate their complex coloristic and plastic equilibrium. As a result, both people and objects appear extracted
from their familiar "habitat." They are translated into a metaphysical space, created according
to the laws of art.

Here, even images of people and objects, awakened by specific life observations,

Denis Saunin was born in Biysk in 1976 year.
1992 - he became the Khabarovsk State Pedagogical University at the art
and graphic department.
1995 - he replaced to the Far Eastern State Institute of Arts for the Department
of Painting. He graduated from the Institute in 1999.
2002-2005 - worked in the Highest Art workshop of the Ural department of the Russian Academy of Fine arts (Siberian branch, Krasnoyarsk).
Since 2005, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of Russia.
Since 2005, he has been living and working in St. Petersburg.
Participant of regional, national, and international exhibitions.
His works belong to the collections of the State Russian Museum, the State Art Museum of Novosibirsk, the Museum of Nonconformism "Pushkinskaya 10" and some private collections in different countries.
